The Hymn of a Broken Man
Released: January 18th, 2011
Info/Tracklisting:
Times of Grace finds Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz and former KsE vocalist Jesse Leach taking a creative left turn, boldly exploring new musical terrain, while fearlessly digging deep into the recesses of their musical synergy and coming up with a provocative, heavy-yet-melodic result -- one that helped each of them overcome personal struggles and emerge from the darkness, more empowered than ever.
“In all my life. I have yet to write a record that bares my soul as much as this record does,” Leach said. “Adam and I had a real spiritual connection while making this and I know that it comes through in the performances and lyrics. This record has our blood, sweat and tears flowing through it. It is painfully honest at times. In short this record is our catharsis.”

Love the album! One of the few albums I can put in and listen to every song without skipping.

Thanks. I have been a fan of both for a long time and when I hears they were teaming up again I counted the days till the album came out. I was not disappointed. I have gone through some real bad crap the last year and music is one of my only outlets. Having an album like this to listen to helped get me through some really bad times. A heavy album with positive powerful lyrics is just what I needed. So again I say thanks. If anyone ever says its just music they may have heard the music but never listened to it. Not much more to say but u have a fan in Fargo north Dakota and hope u come up here for a show. If u do I'll b there.

I've been waiting for Jesse to do a KsE-ish type of thing for a while and this is even better than I thought it would be. Amazing job on the album guys. No offense to KsE, because I love them, but Hymn of a Broken Man has the powerful, emotional lyrics that I feel KsE has been missing since Jesse left. Howard is an amazing singer and there's nothing wrong with his lyrics, but they just don't speak to me the way Jesse's lyrics do. Keep it up guys. By the way, you should come do a show at the new Amsoil Arena here in Duluth, MN. That would be so awesome.
